HOLLYWOOD (Variety) -
Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has signed a deal to produce and star in an
untitled feature dubbed ``a 'Love Story' for the '90s.''
|
The project, set up
at Columbia Pictures, was described as the story of a young woman who learns
she has only a few months to live. As she begins living out her dreams,
she falls in love.
|
Filming is expected
to take place in May 1999 during Hewitt's next hiatus from the Fox network's
``Party of Five,'' in which she's a regular. Novelist Liz Nickels, who
made the pitch, will write the script as well as a related book.
|
Hewitt's feature credits
include Columbia's teen horror ``I Know What You Did Last Summer'' and
its upcoming sequel.
