By Dan Cox

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has signed a deal to produce and star in an untitled feature dubbed ``a 'Love Story' for the '90s.''
The project, set up at Columbia Pictures, was described as the story of a young woman who learns she has only a few months to live. As she begins living out her dreams, she falls in love.
Filming is expected to take place in May 1999 during Hewitt's next hiatus from the Fox network's ``Party of Five,'' in which she's a regular. Novelist Liz Nickels, who made the pitch, will write the script as well as a related book.
Hewitt's feature credits include Columbia's teen horror ``I Know What You Did Last Summer'' and its upcoming sequel.
